I caught the lake unusually calm for a body of water 40km long. It was reflecting the surround features nearly perfectly.

#VancouverIsland has the purest strain of Roosevelt Elk in North America. They are the largest and heaviest elk in North America. Giant bulls live up to 15 years and can weight over 1,000 lbs. We stumbled upon this one hiking in #StrathconaPark (please respect nature - leave them alone)

A relatively low-flow waterfall cascades down a grey rockface into an emerald green pool at the bottom. The waterfall is maybe 50m high A moderate volume waterfall emerges from some rocks and flows into a river below. There are lots of trees and deadfall around. The waterfall is maybe 25m high.
