#Subdivision
I've made a cartogram of the election results, distorting each subdivision based on the number of votes cast on election day.

Bud, you're not going to do shit except write a substack and do a podcast with your WWG1WGA, but leftistly horsedickery. Go oligarchy revolution your own subdivision, nerd.
“The fire will rise?”
“People will be radicalized”?
And Jews, sorry, “zionists” will be attacked?
All if one goddamned man with ZERO EXPERIENCE loses?
Does Wajahat Ali have brain damage? Who speaks like this? MAGA, that’s who.
This motherfucker has permanently lost it.

But nowhere else habitually does that because we don't have an absurdly large country where you have to clarify which nation-sized subdivision you're talking about.

addendum to the addendum: i'm also intrigued by the possibility of smoothing meshes during subdivision, possibly with a paintable per-vertex crispness value.

There's a big subdivision under construction up the road, so I'm not sure how long these lovely creatures will stay in the neighbourhood, but they're always sociable at dinner time

I had an uncle who had a friend who lived in a subdivision in Colorado that was built for small plane enthusiasts where each house had an airplane hangar and there was a communal runway and it was the most psychotically right wing place I have ever been in in my life.

Re @brentbellamy.bsky.social: Brent Bellamy nails it. Fresh councillors quickly learn the cruel municipal math: legalizing fourplexes costs $0 in new pipes, while paving another outward subdivision ring quietly bankrupts snowplow budgets for thirty years.
My column: Many new Councillors are heading to Winnipeg City Hall. They inherit a responsibility to continue the momentum of higher density and infill housing growth to improve quality of life, social opportunity, and the economic viability of our city. www.winnipegfreepress.com/opinion/anal...
Opinion: New council, new opportunies for Winnipeg
Last week, Winnipeg voters returned Mayor Scott Gillingham to city hall for a second term, but the more surprising election storyline is that nine of the 15 councillors surrounding him will be new fac...

And the major issue here, is apparently the developer owns most of the properties in this subdivision and just rents them out.

The folding table and chairs at the end of the driveway set-up.

We did that at our subdivision in Georgia. So much easier that dealing with the dog every time the bell rings.

The one thing I remain proud of about my time in law enforcement is I treated every neighborhood the same. If I wouldn’t tolerate it in a HUD apartment complex I didn’t fucking tolerate it in a McMansion subdivision and lemme tell yall, folks do NOT appreciate that at all.

In other business, the board will consider nearly $2.3 million in contracts and contingency funding for repairs to the Carson City Community Center and Aquatic Facility.
Carson City supervisors to consider subdivision extension, major repair contracts Thursday
A proposed two-year extension for the Plateau subdivision is among the development issues the Carson City Board of Supervisors will consider when it meets Thursday, Nov. 5. The city's Community and Economic Development Department is requesting an extension for the previously approved tentative subdivision map for the Plateau subdivision, located at the eastern end of Homestead Lane and Alluvial Road.

And I was surprised that I had almost 40 kids this year. That's a lot for my rural subdivision.

I may or may not have roamed my subdivision with three guys I’ve never met before in my life on electric scooters looking for trick or treat shots…

God I love Wisconsin…

Always clears my head to do 3.1 miles out through the local subdivision and then kick my ass for 30 minutes doing expert maps in Beat Saber.

(Thank god the weather has changed I was just about sick of the god damn treadmill)

Kids did 3 streets - D’s parents’ in Enfield, our street in Lantz, and part of a street in a big subdivision nearby (it’s known for good treats) - look how many treats they got! M already had given away a bunch before I took this pic!

“In 1941 a developer built a half-mile wall near 8 Mile to split a Black neighborhood from a new white subdivision, because the FHA wouldn't back loans for the white homes without it. It's still standing. That's the system white families could move through and Black families couldn't.”

general trend for australian upper houses is to higher magnitude and lower subdivision: WA, the most recent, has the entire legislative council elected at once statewide.

[also: that upper houses have near-absolute vetos is an important part of the system dynamics]

Faked #PSX geometry subdivision by limiting affine UVs to a certain distance. Love the jumping textures. 😎

oh with the housing changes(whenever they actually drop😭) scene might be able to finally get an apartment if they add new wards or add a 3rd subdivision
October 31, 2026 at 11:02 PM
Ah, that's where that came from. I didn't notice it probably because my first house was in the Capitol Hill subdivision and I got used people spelling it wrong.

Alex Fryer says "The goal [of HB1110] was to encourage more types of housing, which would bring costs down."

This is a true statement, but he's leaving out a very very important piece. The goal of lot subdivision bills like HB1110 is to bring the land cost per home down.

pre-coffee thoughts with Tilly:

maybe we could get the ultra-rich to care about climate change if we pronounced glacier all French, like they’re a subdivision of Cartier, and said they were bespoke artisanal ice formations from Paris

ice cream is great but why don’t we have ice version of other food like

ice pie
