So this ended up darker and more Cybermen or Borg than I planned. Enjoy, I think?

From @ajdeane.bsky.social 's prompt of *finger guns*. Thanks for that 🤗

Thank you @fafo-poets-society.bsky.social and @sonnetsmith.bsky.social for the inspiration. Also @daveashleypoet.bsky.social for introducing new poetry formats that I continue to use. #cascade

I mail myself to you
in letters of boiled blue.
Break the seal
I'll crawl out
of the envelope
to wrap my arms around,
embrace like an old friend.
Hugs from typeprint
on a page face,
wishing you well from afar.

Serling's ghost came to me in a dream
Fresh from dinner with Shakespeare and Ibsen
He told me of an unending, fresh stream
Where every idea is born free from sin

I'd like to offer up

"The Stories that my Magnets Tell"

To the #SundaySwap shop.
I feel like that could go a lot of places

Forgot to tag it #SundaySwap and #fafo... but I think it'll be fine, lol. Anyway, for those not wanting to go to another site to view, I took screenshots. Bit of a longer spot of #narrative #poetry.
