Recently Dr Leonardi posted new findings regarding the identification of the location of SARS-CoV-2’s Superantigen.
I’m including my pinned post as it explains a bit about what that means for our T cells
Others disparaged him—particularly a certain writer.

The Celiac‐Disease Superantigen Oligomerizes and Increases Permeability in an Enterocyte Cell Model
The 33-mer deamidated gliadin peptide is formed in active celiac disease and related to T-cell activation. We determined its oligomeric nature and found a significant increase in gut epithelial perme...

Study finds potential superantigen in SARS2. It's D1138PLQFPELDSFKEEL1152, and the weaker D1138PLQPELDSFKEEL1152 and not the usual suspect T678NSPRRAR685.
P3/P3b as they call them, yield inflammation in mice.
P3/P3b trigger 25-35% of the T-cells, not good! […]

Staphylococcus aureus superantigens drive a concentration-dependent neutrophilic or eosinophilic pulmonary inflammation in mouse models of cystic fibrosis - PubMed
Staphylococcus aureus (SA), the most common cystic fibrosis (CF) respiratory pathogen, is uniquely capable of producing superantigen (SAg) exotoxins, which are recognized as the most potent activators...

Preliminary assessment of the therapeutic potential of staphylococcal enterotoxin-like W via biological activity and TCR binding sites analysis - PubMed
Staphylococcal enterotoxin-like W (SElW) is a novel, widely prevalent enterotoxin-like protein that functions as a classical staphylococcal superantigen (SAg) and has been shown to exacerbate infections...

Carla found that MAIT cells are a type of unconvential T-cells that have a unique response to the mTSS superantigen (from the S. aureus bacteria) due to their high concentration of the superantigen's target. This provides additional insight for future research on TSS risk factors and prevention.

While #SARSCoV2 is the main trigger for MIS-C, similar hyperinflammatory syndromes (e.g., Kawasaki disease) have been linked to other bacterial & viral infections, though the etiology of these conditions
remains unknown .🦠 may act as a superantigen, a cytokine storm & hyperinflammatory response
November 26, 2025 at 6:25 PM
MedSky🧪 IDSky #PedSky identified a specific immune MIS-C signature, namely a superantigen-like polyclonal expansion of T-cell receptor (TCR) Vβ21.3+ CD4+ and CD8+ T cells. This skewing of the TCR repertoire was not observed in Kawasaki’s disease, toxic shock syndrome, or mild-to-severe #COVID19 .

“If the cells are frequently turning over but there is still viral persistence, what other plausible explanations are there for this other than replication?”

That's a very good question someone asked, let's do a thread about VIRAL PERSISTENCE in #LongCovid to cover this! (1/10)

hypothesize that continuous and prolonged exposure to the viral SAg-like & neurotoxin-like motifs in SARS-CoV-2 spike may promote autoimmunity leading to the development of post-acute COVID-19 syndromes, including MIS-C, longCOVID and neurological complications
