#Superdeterminism
But superdeterminism is surely silly Sabine?

What if every thought you have was fixed at the beginning of time? A new paper argues superdeterminism applies not just to particles but to human meaning and choice.

I deem superdeterminism "quantum woo" because it's ascribing some sort of pseudo-scientific significance to things that are non-falsifiable and therefore not in the realm of science. Just a different side of the same woo that deems "wave function collapse" a real thing.

Superdeterminism is non-quantum. It claims there is an underlying deterministic classical theory. She's still despicable, right?

I think this is a rephrasing of a particular interpretation of quantum physics called superdeterminism. Similar idea shows up in relativity as determinism.

In reality we’d all shrug and pretend to have free will. Same as Hume.

In superdeterminism quantum randomness doesn´t exist. What if SD turns out to be correct?

One experiment — CMB-S4, ~2035 — resolves the next 100 years of physics. Detection = superdeterminism credible. Null = program collapses.

According to superdeterminism I have no choice but to be a messy fat faggot
June 28, 2026 at 10:52 PM
basically now that superdeterminism is confirmed real we just have to map out all the patterns 😊
June 24, 2026 at 6:26 AM
I guess the point is that no one likes a pure interpretation. We all just want to know how things actually look.

Also is that really what superdeterminism is? I thought it was correlations at the beginning of time but not so much as hidden but implicit?

she's all-in on team superdeterminism

Likewise, quantum mechanics forbids FTL communication, but if physicists were only to see the obvious: that superdeterminism is The Truth (nobody has ever made a legitimate criticism of SD and anyone who doesn't like it simply doesn't understand it)
May 20, 2026 at 2:21 PM
We also get some new Sabine lore: apparently inventing FTL travel was the main reason she got into physics in the first place. Miraculously, decades after setting this extremely long-shot goal, she succeeded! What are the odds!

Apparently the secret is how superdeterminism is obviously true!

Hilariously, while giving all of it up and endorsing superdeterminism is an option, measurements of how well things are correlated in the early universe suggests that it's not *that* plausible.
May 12, 2026 at 7:28 PM
If you accept superdeterminism as your personal quantum mechanical savior (as SH appears to do), you might as well believe in the spirit world.

I bet previous Empires and Nation States crumbled with more style. Don't get me wrong, this one has its moments but overall...

I'm most excited for the treasures we pull from the rubble, the challenging and rewarding efforts to build anew. 👽 🤖 ✨ 🌈 #superdeterminism #hiddenglobalvariables

Bédard argues Bell's theorem doesn't mandate nonlocality. Via universal unitary QM in the Heisenberg picture, quantum correlations emerge locally at the comparison event—no superluminal signals, superdeterminism, or retrocausality required.

She criticises the paper at hand because, damningly, it uses assumptions (gasp)

(also did can see her sneak her superdeterminism crap in there?)

personally I find superdeterminism untenable no matter how it arises. It's basically exactly bc the things I do to determine a measurement setting make complete sense in our macroscopic presentation that there is no room for them to conspire with other things.
