Camera assisted bus lane enforcement is coming to SEPTA buses in May. This should be standard in every city with dedicated bus lanes. Just expecting people to follow the rules is not enough in most situations.

Camera assisted bus lane enforcement is coming to SEPTA buses in May. This should be standard in every city with dedicated bus lanes. Just expecting people to follow the rules is not enough in most situations.

Another idea since it happened on the SEPTA is to report it to SEPTA Transit Police, their Transit Watch app lets you submit videos. They may also be able to more easily determine from CCTV and/or ticket info who the suspect parent is.

SEPTA's existing SCOPE safety/mental health program which includes measures of enforcement could have easily been expanded with a PATCO partnership, if anyone bothered to ask them! Even SEPTA only closed Somerset station for 2 weeks, not 6 months
