Most of his house either died in the conflict or fled. Being only 10 at the new Royal Surtova family took him in as a ward. By age 15 he transitioned from the life of a live in hostage to that of a Ministerialis: a sorts of servile knight. One with the dignity of a noble but fewer privileges.

My only current PC is Mila, daughter of a branch of the Surtova family (guess the AP!)

She has no interest in politics and prefers to practice fencing and a foul mouth.
Of course, this bandit hunt had to turn into politics...

She's a Swashbuckler, so a copy of PC2 would be very much appreciated ;)

Ariyah Surtova, a human bard from Pathfinder 2nd edition in a Kingmaker campaign. She hails from the Surtova noble family, but has left home to join a party to build and settle a new kingdom in the Stolen Lands. She’s reserved and quiet, but practical and analytical. She inspires and directs the party in combat, while preferring to stay out of conflict herself. She hasn’t shared much about her family and position with the party, along with any other details of her past… Brigita Strongbrew, a halfling barbarian from the 2024 dnd rules. Many months ago her wife, Beltyn Silvergrip, disappeared without a trace. She’s been frantically trying to track her down this whole time, when she received a strange package. Utilizing the strange wardrobe in a very Narnia like fashion, she finds herself in the Radiant Citadel, reunited with her wife, but with seemingly no way home… Placidus and Ivory, a silver dragonborn fighter and a human rogue. Having adventured together for some time, they are my obsession as I love drawing them and writing about them. She’s sarcastic, sneaky, and stubborn. He’s honorable, heroic, and honest. If I ever write their story properly it’s gonna be the slowest slow burn to ever exist lmao A sketch of Placidus and Ivory. They’re both idiots in different ways when it comes to love. Placidus, with his past of losing his family, believes he’s undeserving of any love and care. Ivory, with her past of family leaving, has ran away from love at every turn and is determined to never let her heart break again.

Kessil is in favor of stronger ties with the Aldori and even handed approaches to situations.

Shandra is very realpolitik from what I hear, and is of course a Surtova loyalist.

You did amazing with Placidus and Ivory, so here’s some other choices for ya! 😋
My PF2e Kingmaker character, Ariyah Surtova. She’s a human bard hailing from nobility and forging a new kingdom with a… unique group. My DND character Roshan, an Aasimar grave cleric. She ran away from a religiously oppressive home, lived as a hermit for a while, and devoted her time to curing a strange illness sweeping across her home, and further beyond. My Starfinder character Ashkii Rodan, a Borai (Strix) mechanic. She was convicted for killing a man (in her fiancés defense), but after her own fiancé lied in court Ashkii was found guilty and executed. Through the starfinders, she was revived (but changed) and contracted to help the organization in their next mission. An older drawing of my oc Ashkii. She was originally a Strix, a species which have large wings on their backs. With her execution and revival, her wings have been chopped off, leaving her with stumps where they had once sat. Other parts of her appearance has changed, and she’s very bitter about that still.

it feels like the story is already rolling to three heads: the planned conflict with the Stag Lord, an emergent conflict with Rio Surtova that's rooted in character backstories, and an in-party dispute over their relationship with the kobolds.

my gf literally raised the possibility of making the Kobolds into serfs. because she's on board with the "fuck Rio" plan, but for anti-Surtova reasons instead of personal ones
