#SustainableDrainageSystems
#ClimateChange is increasing the frequency of this kind of intense rainfall, and that means more risk of flash flooding in towns and cities.
Explore how we can manage this with #SustainableDrainageSystems ( #SuDS) here: thefloodhub.co.uk/suds/

#SustainableDrainageSystems have a range of benefits in addition to reducing #surfacewater #flooding.

Our #SuDS toolkit contains lots of useful information and resources on SuDS and blue-green infrastructure.

Climate change is causing heavier rainfall and increasing the risk of #SurfaceWaterFlooding.

#SustainableDrainageSystems (#SuDS) help manage this by slowing down, storing, and soaking away excess rainwater, reducing pressure on drains and managing #flood risk.

🌱#SustainableDrainageSystems (#SuDS) - These mimic natural drainage patterns to manage rainfall and surface water runoff close to the source. Examples of SuDS include #waterbutts, #permeablepaving and #greenroofs.

#PermeablePaving is a technique used which falls within #SustainableDrainageSystems (#SuDS). It allows surface water to soak through into the ground, rather than run off into the drainage network.
