When I was eight I decided to run away from home but took “run” too literally and hit my head on a pedestrian bridge while I was cleverly using a drainage ditch. Knocked myself clean out for 8 hours and then walked home
please delight me with your most on-brand story from your childhood

mine is that I quit Cubs after two weeks because it clashed with Coronation Street

And for everyone who likes to bitch about Tucson’s supposedly inadequate drainage: even after that, when I drove home this evening the streets were dry. Our drainage is fine, you’re just not used to the desert.
My friend’s rain gauge has gotten 5 inches since Thursday. The average rainfall in Tucson for the *month* of October is 0.63 inches.
