ABACxxxC is not uncommon "reaching" stanza structure (with more frequent ABAC ABAC or ABAC DBDC) associated e.g. in Russian modernism with germanic symbolist-ish song / ballad

(if only we had rhyme scheme search available everywhere..)

In Self-Portrait with Halo and Snake (1889), Gauguin appears as saint and tempter at once—a halo above, a snake in hand, and apples nearby. Painted on a cabinet door at a Le Pouldu inn, it flaunts his Symbolist taste for self-mythologizing.

of blues, pinks and muted earth tones evoke the changing light of the Mediterranean. Painted during the artist’s post-Modernista period, the work combines a sensitive observation of nature with a Symbolist mood, creating a quiet vision of the sea.

Where do souls go
at life’s end

Perhaps
only a boatman
can say

Perhaps only
Charon knows
the way to an isle
of transition

A restful place
with no decisions

Island of the dead
isn’t vindictive
only Cypress trees
glass seas and light

La Robe Bleue, Jaune et Verte, inspirée par Marie De Regnier
Here is a proposal inspired by the delicate, Symbolist, and refined world of Marie de Régnier (Gérard d'Houville), where colors become almost states of mind.

"It’s no accident that Dillard describes herself as reading the work of French poet Arthur Rimbaud by the light of the moth. She previously wrote that she loved how language sounds in French symbolist poetry..."

Annie Dillard brought poetry into prose, pioneering a mystical form of creative nonfiction that critics both admired and misunderstood
For Annie Dillard, the sonic intensity of poetry was critical to every form of writing she published throughout her life.

Redon's Dream exemplifies Symbolist etching, conjuring ethereal forms through delicate tonal work. Its dreamlike ambiguity and supernatural mood remain visually compelling.
