Wrapping up this post from a week ago: Here is event verification as of 12 UTC Friday 12 Sep 2025.
All quiet in the N Leeward Islands today. A tropical wave is nearing the islands, but it's not the same system as ex #91L which dissipated long ago.
Be careful when choosing your weather info source.

A convective, and per TAFB/NHC non-frontal, 1010 hPa low has formed over South FL. Per OPC, gale force winds already exist to its northeast.
The cyclone should move north along the coast on succeeding days. 🐻⌚️

Tomorrow is 31 yrs since the Oklahoma City bombing. Just watched this again and burst into tears. 😭 it’s still just as horrific as it was & im gutted still. We felt the blast & to know that evil mf was held less than a mile from us at Tafb. I’m sickened . Only us living in Oklahoma know what it was

Who the fuck cares who follows you back? I'm here to read interesting thoughts, or failing that entertaining banter from people.
The number of people who find me to be either matters less than squat.
It's a social media platform, not a fucking job. Go back to Instagram.

Homeland Stores in OK are also employee-owned and many workers are union (United Food & Commercial Workers Local 1000). WinCo is good (often better deals than Homeland), but impractical for some Normanites to drive all the way to Moore (SW 19th) or MWC (E Reno near TAFB) for a grocery run.
Think different in 2025:
Find and support businesses that are actually doing the right thing. Money talks—spend it where it matters.

What’s more interesting are the hurricanes, sometimes major, that we’ve been seeing embedded within fronts lately — Francine, Helene, and Milton in the Gulf come to mind from 2024. Seeing the HSU and TAFB on different pages regarding existing fronts is always “fun”/a source of grief.

As far as I know, the last Boeing 747 seen in the skies in my town was Air Force One, on 10/15/2018. But today there was one from Alexandria, VA, doing touch-and-goes at TAFB near Panama City, FL, for about a half hour, giving me multiple chances to capture it on video as it passed at low altitude.
