I won't be surprised when the supervisors appointed to TDSB and TCDSB determine that the only way to get the school boards "back on track" is to sell off large chunks of their property at discount prices to attendees of Ford's daughters' stag and does.

Re the provincial takeover of TDSB/ TCDSB- when you think someone is right but really wish they aren’t.
My best guess is that this is about asset stripping, not improving schools. We have to be alert.

This confuses me because I feel like TDSB/TCDSB have spent the last 5 years signing every development with warnings about insufficient capacity.

We're not far away from a really ugly fight over TCDSB holding a bunch of extremely valuable under-subscribed schools while TDSB still struggles with building in growing areas. No one is going to want to hear from WASPs like me that it's unfair. Going to be up to the shrinking Catholic population.
It is the 3rd rail and they won't touch it. Even Dalton McGuinty, a Catholic, had friction w them, and was probably the best hope to doing something (Nixon/China etc) but no. 100% this will come from grassroots, not top, so you have to talk about it, and others have to, and....
