#TCJA
Is there such a thing as a purely domestic corporate tax policy? Maybe not.

Changes can have positive and negative spillovers, as shown through TCJA data in a new paper by Dyrda et al.

True, and not the first time. The Trump's TCJA hit on the R&D companies was timed to the beginning of Biden's tenure. The whole tech sector is still reeling from that.
Let’s try to get folks to understand this devious manipulation. At the very least, Dems should not be blamed when those cuts come.

The Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982 signed by Reagan held the record for the largest peacetime tax increase (roughly 0.98 percent of GDP), though a full expiration of the individual income tax cuts from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) would narrowly surpass it.

Be specific, which bills did that?

Did the “left” do that or did the GOP controlled Congress that passed the TCJA in 2017 and the BBB in 2025 do that?

Getting reeeeeally close to actual malice.

First one is being for affordable healthcare.

The $4T is from revenue loses for the government tied to the TCJA, not exactly the OBBB, definitely not healthcare.

Amazon paid $2,750,000,000 to the US Treasury just last year. $7,630,000,000 the year before that.

Amazon has those huge tax breaks because of Trump's bonus depreciation provision in the TCJA of 2017 (that he renewed). That's why the AI data center boom is happening so fast now.

Your 2022 R&E refund window closes before 2026-07-06, and under the TCJA midyear convention half of that year is still unamortized -- 420,000 of 2022 spend leaves 210,000 stranded, not 168,000. Most chatbots still answer with the…

Why?

He voted against 1st impeachment, for the TCJA which raised taxes on workers, cut services, raised the deficit and gave billionaires more tax cuts. He voted with the GOP 93% of the time.

Because he finally put country before party and stopped, but only after adding $8 trillion to the debt?

Kinzinger voted for the TCJA which raised taxes & deficit, he voted against the 1st impeachment, & with Trump over 90% of the time. He enabled Trump & the GOP to destroy the economy. Now he panhandles on substack.

Here he is showing off his airplane.

All Republicans are evil.
Come fly with us! Over 25 years I have owned airplanes, and like houses, they appreciate. Very lucky to be able to have this one and share it with my family!

Trump’s TCJA corporate tax cuts enacted in 2017 resulted in an increase in economic activity, but the benefits predominantly accrued to the top 10% of the income distribution.

In the first term he got his stupid TCJA through, which was pretty similar on the tax side, but I agree the OBBB is worse.

Like the TCJA claim doesn't even make sense.

The mechanism by which TCJA would work is increasing long run capital investment. Gonna take decades to bear fruit if it works!

Guy could have passed the issue onto the venues and ultimately Robert Kraft, the patriots owner 1%er, Trump supporter, two time tax bill relief (TCJA and OBBB) recipient fkhead who orchestrated against pro-humanity freedom of speech.

its an ongoing trend but in specific TCJA did some big pass-through deductions that likely contributed

(and yeah i can't wait to read the book)

Congress did not erase trillions of dollars of tax bills owed by 600 specific billionaires. The figure being invoked appears to come from estimates of the overall revenue loss from the TCJA over roughly a decade.

TCJA just absolutely nuking US revenues lol

Imagine the raw charisma in this room. JD trying to hit too many panders at once like “y’all my peepaw never imagined our national heritage would be getting mogged and zogmaxxed by these sharia law antisemites!” Roger Marshall croaking out something about the national debt and extending TCJA.

Don’t believe these lying partisan hacks.

Kinzinger voted for the TCJA, and with the GOP 95.4% of the time.

He’s lying about his voting record because he’s still only out for himself, not America and certainly not unions.

He’s counting on uninformed people to fund his lifestyle.
This nation was founded on a union, and on this Labor Day, we’re reminded that the American worker, not Washington, has led to our prosperity.

As one of the few pro-union GOP congressmen at the time, I’d rather celebrate the workers than the paperwork signers who gave us off today. (Link below)
