If I may self-rec, I have two books currently in the world.

The Backwards Knight is a classic fantasy adventure with eldritch horror twists.

The Dark Side of Super is an interconnected collection of dark, gritty, realistic takes on super powers.

Both in ebook/physical, and TDSoS is in audio.

#TBBChat A3:

TBK: Hmm. Orn would get very grumpy when hungry.

As for The Paladin, one could say he's in a constant state of hunger. For what, though, remains to be seen.

TDSoS: Nikhail, our pizza-loving MC, will get himself into no little trouble for some fresh-from-the-oven pizza.

Wife's nearly done with The Backwards Knight's cover, which means I need to a pre-order / marketing hype plan like I did for TDSoS.

This shit isn't easy, and having a tree crash through our roof last month made it more difficult.

This too shall pass. TBK's coming soon. Who's ready?!

The Light Side of Villainy: A second collection of super powered shorts to follow up The Dark Side of Super. I envision this as a trilogy, to deal with what happened in TDSoS. This'll be what I work on while TBK/TFP are going through their edit rounds.

Spring 2025 if all goes to plan. The goal is to have it widely available, like I did with TDSoS, including book boxes/signed copies. So Booktopia (the book store?) should have it. It has Dark Side 🙃

I decided against it, it's already had a handful of rejections. Granted, it's changed SO MUCH, but I already have a stockpile of ISBNs, and TDSoS was a learning opportunity for me.

You've met the key players for TDSoS. What's next is telling you about it. This started off as a loosely-connected series of short stories.

As I wrote these characters, they let me know their stories were intrinsically woven into a big tapestry.

They let me truly know The Dark Side of Super.

Tenth, and second to last, short story is done for TDSoS. One more to go, and then I can start revisiting and editing and ensuring all of my ducks are in a row.

Managed to sit down tonight and do some #author sort of things. Jammed out ~1400 words to complete my ninth short story for TDSoS. Two more to go before that's done being first-drafted.

Sat down and composed my short for a submission call, and sent that in. Pardon me whilst I hurl. 🙃🙃🙃

That seems to be the path I am taking. 🙃 I am working on another short's draft for TDSoS, ate a nice little lunch. After this particular writing sprint, it's time for some video games. 🖤
