The Biden administration stripped protections for LGBTQ students from the school lunch program. Schools can openly discriminate against LGBTQ students now in food programs with no federal consequences.

tefap is all the basics - think dry noodles, canned vegetables and meat, mac and cheese boxes, things like that. between this and cutting money to spend at local farms you’re basically killing food banks

Last week, we joined food orgs to raise the alarm on Trump's cuts to food assistance. Now, they’re cutting *another* $500M for TEFAP.

This will hurt the people who use food banks and farmers who rely on these purchases.

Is leaving kids hungry what this Admin is all about? Or do they just not care?

TEFAP is a non compete program with SNAP so if you qualify for it now and SNAP comes back you can still receive TEFAP benefits.

Elections have consequences. Who didn't know what Trump & his GOP stooges called "beautiful" would devastate Americans? I volunteer in a food pantry and want to cry when I see the emptying shelves from cuts to SNAP, TEFAP, and USDA.
