Genuinely curious about something. Every time an election season starts looking good for dems, people start coming out of the woodwork and loudly insisting that “polling doesn’t vote” and that we “need to vote like we’re 5 points behind.” The theory being that people will stay home and not vote 1/2

This theory is interesting though, because the gulf in experiences between my friends who had Actual Babysitting Grandparents and Shitty Grandparents when all of our littles were super little was huge.

this is a good point, although my theory that I've put literally zero thought into is this works because it settles into the other extreme and playability is a flat circle: a thing that's hilariously bad becomes great again but something that's mediocrishly bad is just bad
