After the CPI data came out, a lot of people started buying 10y Tnotes pushing the yield down. After the initial flurry of buying, sellers have outnumbered buyers causing the yield to slowly rise back to the point where it was at before the data came out.

I chose mutual fund as paying better than bonds right now and Trump made the comment of maybe we don’t really need to pay back all the Tnotes which would tank the bond market. He doesn’t pay his bills so why would he pay Americas.

Question: Where do investors go when they drain out of meta, msft, Tesla, nvda, etc. I’ve identified ibm today which seems to keep it squarely in the bubble. Am I reading that the money kinda just floats inside the bubble until it don’t? Does it got to Tnotes?

I sold everything before Jan 20th so I can sleep at night because I knew it was going to be chaotic. I kept bonds and some international until Trump got all ….we may not need to pay our Tnotes after all…and I had nightmares of the bond market crashing so I sold those too.

I finally have a treasury account on treasurydirect.gov to buy bonds, tnotes, tbills but I haven't bought a thing after months of having the account I keep thinking rates should go higher no matter what the Fed does

Perhaps my biggest fear in the wake of #Greenland is that Europe dumps all its Tnotes and USD crashes. That makes me feel the walls closing in, trapped in the U.S. My personal sense of freedom is very dependent on being able to move about internationally.

Nah, I don’t think that’s a real assessment. Not only do they require the USD to exist, they are considered as good as a dollar in places that don’t have access to dollars.

Now combine that with his brilliant statement that they’ve discovered a lot of our Tnotes are probably fraud and the US government doesn’t need to pay them. I took that as he plans on not paying the government debt like he doesn’t pay his own. That will be great for the bond market!
