Rubles getting absolutely smoked. Over the last 12 sessions RUB has lost 15% versus the dollar. Only comparable periods since 2000: GFC, initial invasion of Ukraine in 2014, COVID shock, and 2022 second wave invasion.

However, there is no regulation which would prohibit apparently unconnected institutions dealing such instrument between themselves. Given that, from PoV of regulated western exchanges, all russian banks are indeed unconnected, they were able to deal between themselves, thus maintaining USDRUB price

I believe as well RU inflation is far higher than 7.4%. There is a lot of faked economical in Mordor!
USDRUB is at 92.5 at the moment and it might go until 100 💯 again 👍

In October 2023 Russia urged their export companies to convert their US$ and other foreign currencies back to RUB to lessen the pressure to the Rubel as it was at 100 USDRUB.
It helped a bit and the FX rate went back to around 88. It did not helped for long... It's now over 93!

This would lead to a weaker RUB and hinder Russia to invest so much into the army as before as fossil revenue will fall, inflation will go up

That's not how things work if currency is illiquid. There are two ways in which a currency can be illiquid:
- nobody is willing to trade it either way. This makes for a very large spread and it did happen to USDRUB before the weekend
