TTRPGERS generally are so fucking mechanicly illiterate. the indie darling mork borg that nobody is allowed to criticise has a random armour roll alongside its random combat rolls and its random damage rolls and NO other combat rules and everyone raves about that game.

Ttrpgs are such a weird hobby space. Imagine if 90 percent of video game players only played call of duty, and made YouTube videos about how to turn call of duty into a turn based strategy game or social deduction game.

At our wedding, my astronomer husband and I had a planetarium show (YES NERDS WE KNOW). The MC told everyone to get drunk first. During the show my drunk aunt-in-law shouted "SHOW US URANUS" and he had a whole BIT about how Uranus got rammed by something hard and let out a lot of gas. 😂

My last big rant about how TTRPGers treat sex was way back in my Twitter days but nothing has changed except the payment processors started a war against anything more erotic than handholding across the internet so I'm even less sympathetic to people feeling 'icky" about it.
