Breaking News: Massachusetts is investigating how DraftKings and other gambling sites use A.I. The inquiry follows a New York Times report that showed how DraftKings has deployed the technology to target losing gamblers with promotions that encouraged more betting.

The Albanese Govt’s failure to act almost 2 yrs after the Murphy review’s 31 reccs were released means companies like Tabcorp are emboldened & exploiting regulatory loopholes on things that cause huge harm like gambling inducements, hurting more 🇦🇺s

Sportsbet, Tabcorp and AHA, donated almost $600,000 before the last election.
A bet each way to stop this parliament doing anything that gets in the way of their profits.

Tabcorp’s plan to lure more gamblers into pubs and hotels through inducements shows the wagering industry has been emboldened by government inaction on gambling ads, according to a crossbench senator, a public health expert and campaigners.
Tabcorp’s increased use of promotions and special offers is just one part of its broader plan to reinvigorate its betting presence in pubs and hotels, which became dated as the company overwhelmingly focused on the booming online industry.

Australia’s largest betting agency will be forced to pay out a $4.6m fine after it was busted breaching licence and gambling rules.
A Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission investigation exposed Tabcorp repeatedly breaching its betting licence and the responsible gambling code between August 2020 and February 2023.
