A 2,500-year-old gold foundation tablet of Darius the Great, dating to circa 518–515 BC, was buried beneath the corners of the Apadana Palace at Persepolis.
Written in Old Persian, Elamite & Babylonian Akkadian, it served as a royal time capsule preserving Darius’s legacy for eternity.

Yup. And some drugs they cover in tablet form but not capsule form, and others the opposite. It’s all confusing and pointless

I have to take a little gelatine capsule for my blood pressure. I have it with milk, but I always fancy taking it like Stansfield does in 'Leon'.
a man in a suit is bending over in a bathroom .
Alt: Detective Stansfield takes his tablet. Crunching it in his mouth with a little organic wriggle.

Apparently women in the USA need a doc’s visit/prescription for a commonly-needed oral yeast infection tablet.
If visiting Canada, pick some up for your cabinet. It’s about $25 a tablet & many drug store chains have a generic version available for less. No prescription needed, over the counter.

NHS pharmacies to pilot ‘sponge on a string’ test to spot cancer precursor
Scheme in England to identify signs of oesophageal cancer forms part of government’s 10-year health plan
Hundreds of people in England are to be offered a “sponge on a string” test to identify a precursor to one of the deadliest cancers in high-street pharmacies for the first time.
Patients with persistent heartburn or acid reflux can take the “game-changer” tablet-sized capsule that when washed down with a glass of water expands in the stomach. Continue reading...

Abysm today: I'm a programmer first, and almost all my game art is in the form of 32x32 tiles, which I'm reasonably capable of producing, using a mouse. But capsule art is different, so I need to learn to use my tablet. Wish me luck:

Last dose of my meds that was in splittable tablet form instead of capsule stuck in my throat so bad I spent hours after tasting it. Really just had to have the last word, huh?

Puck has to take paracetamol. We recently discovered that instead of having to put a tablet down his throat, that he’ll eat a capsule if it’s in with his food. Except only if it’s the blue pill! He’s been watching ‘The Matrix’ hasn’t he? 🤔

It’s amazing. I have a cat who bit through my fingernail trying to get a tiny tablet in her and I stuck a huge capsule in a chimkin gogurt and squoze it into her mouth and it was GONE.

I have some problems when the generic mfr. gets changed, so tablet v. capsule makes sense to me. But you know that whole thing about how you can't tell with SSRIs for weeks and blah blah blah. (I disparage because I can feel changes in about two days.)
