Tagrisso is the drug my mom was on—she had brain cancer and was given months to live. But Tagrisso had literally just been approved by the FDA, she went on it, and lived 6 more years (and didn’t die from the cancer). The idea of pausing cancer research even for a second fills me with rage.

Tagrisso has been shown to significantly extend life in people with stage 3 and 4 ncslc. People can be with families, go to weddings, see grandchildren born. This is what this drug does. It is a poster child for scientific progress. These are the stakes right now. And everyone should understand.

Me too. Tagrisso has given me three extra years..so far. Hoping for more, but very worried I'll become just another statistical victim of the f-ing fascist regime of idiocy. 😶🌫️

Tagrisso is a blockbuster drug from AstraZeneca that has extended life for patients with non small cell lung cancer with particular genetic mutations. It was first discovered in 2009 in the UK. From there, many advancements and trials followed.

But my pathology showed that about 30% of the tumor was aggressive and there were some free floating cancer cells in my lungs. I had a then 3 year old who needs his mom. So, I went on a drug called Tagrisso.

While the National Cancer Institute's role is notable, it's misleading to imply that government funding alone is responsible for the development of life-saving drugs like Tagrisso, as private investment and innovation also play a crucial role.

Congratulations on the thin mints and your scans! I also recently had good scans, 13 1/2 years since dx, 11 1/2 on Tagrisso and it’s still holding things at bay.

Yesterday, cardio oncology gave me the OK to start titrating down my heart failure medications. My heart has been healing from the Tagrisso! I went to celebrate today by walking 2.5 miles and swimming a half mile!
