Just finished the Behind the Bastards episodes on the impact of Jeffrey Epstein. And like a takeway is that he started funding anti-trans research because he allegedly SA'd a trans girl (she was 16 at the time) who turned around and sued his ass for it and he was mad that she sued him.

That was my takeway from polling people at the Tesla takedown. People are interpreting this as politics as usual maybe slightly more extreme and unless they are directly affected like farmers suddenly out a shit ton of money, or people in like mixed status households it hasn't hit

Cuddling with my partner and, although this isn't exactly new info, I suddenly became hyper aware that we're just two meat-wrapped skeletons lying on top of each other. I freaked out, & vomited all over the place. Blamed it on a dodgy takeway, & am hoping I don't have a complex.

the takeway of my time in the South was that white people would rather cement over their public pools than integrate them. This is them burning the Constitution because they'd rather not be a slight minority.

I did a minithread on why I think a lot of this is, but the main takeway, is that I think they believe queer people in general and trans people in specific make their audience less attractive to whoever they are trying to get money from.

it doesn't matter how good of a poster you are or how many people you attract to the site if those users don't make the user base wealthier or more exploitable for money.
if you make the user base "worse" in terms of potential income, you are "bad"
