Detaining relatives of Afghans who helped US troops, and planning to send them to Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, is cruel and shameful. Allies are being betrayed. Protect them, do not punish them. #Afghanistan #HumanRights #Immigration

Tell that to your ‘Merican politicians (all levels). Most, I think, have been bought and paid for by Evangelicals or else they’re just terrified of them. Don’t pretend the Bible hasn’t ruled in ‘Merica for a long time. Why it’s almost like a Christian version of the Taliban. Think on that awhile

Guess you’re really there now.

25 years after the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan and five years after the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from the country, the Taliban are firmly back in control. Although not quite as extreme as their previous government.

Although not quite as extreme as when they previously ruled from 1996 to 2001, the hard-line Islamist regime has reinstated many restrictions, especially on women and girls.
