People've been asking for the option to go private, but I would like a hybrid (?) setting. The account is private, but we can choose to leave some posts and comments open for everyone to see. (Don't know if it's possible) A label stating so might be advisable.

Be able to embed alt text. Especially to gifs. Maybe leaving it editable to fix it, in case it isn't accurate, but just so we don't have double the work.

May I suggest the notification symbol of a DM to be the profile of a butterfly?

The amorphous circle, with or without the butterfly in it, doesn't make much sense.

I believe the profile of a butterfly might allude to the "carrying of messages", by "flying".

I would like to ask for a differentiation when the post disappears. For it to inform if the account was suspended or if the post was deleted. The current warning is misleading.
