@patblanchfield.bsky.social For clarity, the eagle in the official seal of the Department of Defense has, for as long as I am aware, differed from that of the Great Seal by having only arrows. www.si.edu/object/seal-...

My grandfather didn’t know he was a Taoist.
He had fished the river Awe for sixty years.
Life is sensed as a flowing movement,
a power like wind or water. When he cast,
it was the bank that moved, not the river…

There is a man... walking barefoot in the breakfast area... whose feet SHOULD NEVER BE VISIBLE TO FELLOW HUMANS. He needs a podiatrist... STAT.
His own goddamn wife shouldn't have to see those fucking talons... and she took a vow. People are trying to eat, sir. THERE ARE CHILDREN DOWN THERE!

From high-speed chases to tumbling together, talons locked, from great heights towards the ground, it’s quite a sight. Less active courtship behaviors include sitting shoulder to shoulder, preening, and even nest building. Some mated couples perform these rituals every mating season. 🫶🦅

Rob @robcrank68.bsky.social set today's #BirdOfTheDay theme as #WingsOpenNotFlying. So here are a Guillemot, a European Shag, an Atlantic Puffin, a Great Crested Grebe, a Common Kingfisher and an Osprey. More info in ALT Text. #Birds 🪶 #Nature #Photography #Nikon #ECK #Scotland

I think this is the mating ritual. Notice how they lock talons on both feet, then release after cartwheeling.

Right? For me... It's like the egg cracked but I was still sitting in what was left of the shell.
Glorying in my power is like... stretching my wings open to full extension.
And it's incredibly beautiful that I've found so many pretty preythings that yearn to feel my talons on their skin.

@blog Great ideas! What is interesting is that I always thought Benedict Wong would make a fine Doctor Who. ‘The Talons of Weng-Chiang’ is by far and away the most cringeworthy of all Doctor Who stories for any Asian to watch—especially as by then there were all manner of east Asian actors […]

C'est une tenue pour sortir qu'en pensez vous ? En plus bottines à talons carrés. Aucun problème pour marcher avec. Mais je trouve personne pour la sortir. Dommage.
