This month we are raising funds for THORN, the Trans Hookers Resistance Network. Last year, we refrained from organising any commemoration for Trans Day of Remembrance (TDoR), in accordance with the statement we issued.

I almost always include the Collect for St Stephen's Day in TDoR services I put together. I just think the phrase "all our sufferings for the truth" resonates massively with the desire from trans people to just live our lives truthfully, even amidst the hatred the world gives because of that.

In short, we believe that TDoR events in the UK, but particularly Cambridge, tend to neglect those parts of the trans population that are factually most at risk of lethal violence, meaning particularly sex working and racialised trans women and femmes, the exact constituencies that began TDoR.

I won't punch you in the mouth but I will remind you that I am a #Transman of color & every #TDOR (Transgender Day of Remembrance), a day where we mourn our dead, I see that most of the victims are Black & Brown people.
They also look like me.
