IMHO, still the reigning Halloween space image, an Arecibo radar view of a dead comet that had shed its volatiles after numerous passes around the Sun and passed by Earth on Halloween Day.

#TeamRadar approved.
Friday 13 April 2029 is the day Earth gets lucky, as asteroid Apophis skims (safely) past our planet. 🔭 ESA & JAXA are launching the Ramses mission 🛰️ to rendezvous for a journey only seen every few millennia. It's time to #LookUp. My latest for #JAXA Cosmos 🤸‍♂️🧪: cosmos.isas.jaxa.jp/look-up-esa-...

We used the historic Dwingeloo telescope to bounce a signal off the surface of Venus, and receive its echo! This marks only the second time that amateurs have achieved an 'EVE' (Earth-Venus-Earth) bounce. Venus was about 40 million kilometers from Earth.

🪨Asteroid (152637) 1997 NC1, as monitored by ESA's Planetary Defence team, makes a close approach to Earth this Saturday that could be visible to small telescopes 🔭

For comparison: Operating costs for #TeamRadar are about $1 per second of observing time.
In the wake of the ongoing disasters with funding streams, I'm seeing lots of folks suggest that scientists turn to social media crowdfunding to fund their research.

For about a decade I held the record for the social media crowdfunded project that got the most funding. I received about $9,000.

Ontario Lacus is a hydrocarbon lake near the south pole of Saturn’s moon Titan. Measuring 235 kilometers long by 75 kilometers across, Ontario Lacus is slightly smaller than its terrestrial counterpart, Lake Ontario. Lakes on Titan are named after lakes on Earth that are roughly the same size.

The first test of "Operation Moon Bounce" took place #OTD in 1954. Naval Research Laboratory engineer James Trexler spoke into a microphone, bounced the signal off the moon, and received the return signal a few seconds later. 🔭 🧪 📡

Come meet this space-faring ⛄️or 🥜-shaped pile of rocks. A distant cousin of Selam, contact-binary asteroids like this one are often seen in radar #TeamRadar

Since I was asked:

Interstellar object 3I / #A11pl3Z will not be passing close enough to Earth to be observed by #TeamRadar.

Alas for the loss of Arecibo (although depending on the exact size of 3I, even Arecibo might not have been enough).

#TeamRadar at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory is hiring someone to do the on-site work at the Green Bank Telescope: jobs.dayforcehcm.com/en-US/aui/CA... .

This requires living in Green Bank, West Virginia, or lots of travel through the mountains.

Planetary Radar at the Arecibo Observatory
In the late 1990s, the Arecibo Observatory and its planetary radar system were upgraded to increase sensitivity by a factor of 20. This upgrade substantially improved the quality of the data and the a...

#WithoutNSF we would not have had the Arecibo Observatory until 2020; and we would not have the Green Bank Telescope, the Very Large Array, or the Very Long Baseline Array - all of which #TeamRadar has used to make sure that asteroids are not going to fall from the sky.

And, in case anyone is confused:

Speckle imaging as done here is entirely different from speckle tracking as done by #TeamRadar.

I class radio and radar astronomy together.

#TeamRadar just does not rely upon the universe for our photons (to quote @sondy.com).
