Looking up tech details on a product. Couldn't find the docs: opened help. It said it's an AI chat & can get tech specs. Under that, it said that AI responses may be incorrect I should verify them. With who? I'm using it to find tech specs I don't know. If I could verify them I wouldn't BE HERE.

3. When I tried to print our boarding passes at home, the system would only print ONE person's pass - even when clicking on a different name to print a different person's pass, it would just print the FIRST person's pass again.

Yesterday and today: Dropbox on my Mac changed all my files to online-only. Without my asking.

I get relentless spam calls from fake loan providers. Apple screens them so they go straight to voicemail, but it takes SEVEN different clicks or swipes for me to them block one of those numbers and trash the messages. SEVEN. There should be a SINGLE button that does all of that. #TechFailures

Shifting files on old drives to free up a drive for current use.
And it's objectively bad that Time Machine backups can't be moved from one disk to another. A few years ago, folks would just say archive it and get a new drive. But this is terrible in an era of expensive hard drives. #TechFailures

I have Location Services on my iPad turned OFF by default, because I'm like that. So I had to turn it ON, then I had to click the "update your location with GPS" link. And then it let me proceed to Bluesky without verifying my age. And then I turned Location Services OFF again.

Got a spam/phishing email pretending to be from a service I use. Tried to forward it to that service - but it got bounced back - for spam. Their own spam detection software detected the spam in the email I was trying to forward them so it prevented them from learning about the spam. 🤷 #TechFailures

#TechFailures Started a new TikTok account (I know, I know) and it won't let me follow people. Like it actually SUGGESTS people for me to follow, and then I click on them and it looks like I've followed them, but then I check my "Following" list and they're not there.

StackSocial lets me log into my account, but then when I click on "Purchases" to access the license I just bought, it prompts me to log in again...and again and again and again, without ever letting me get to my purchases. ETERNAL LOOP OF FAILURE! GREAT! #TechFailures

#TechFailures update - I think I uncovered the source of my Microsoft Office problem on my desktop. I thought I had an Office 2021 installation, but I actually had an Office 2019 installation. And Microsoft has killed 2019 for the Mac. Of course the error message did not explain this.

More #TechFailures. I'm copying files from my Dropbox folder to an external drive, and when I go back to check, sometimes there are files on the external drive that have "zero bytes." Which is to say, THEY WEREN'T COPIED. What the hell. What the hell what the hell what the hell.

Trying to add an email address to a Google account. I get an error message saying "This address is already used with a Google account." But I haven't added it to any other account. And when I try to sign in using that email, I get a message saying "Couldn’t find this account."

Microsoft 2021 has gone belly up on my Mac. It demands that I activate it (which I did when I bought it and again last week when it demanded I do it again for reasons unknown). Now it demands I activate it and then gives me this error after I log in and click the right buttons. #TechFailures

Tried to post some pictures on IG on my Mac. Got this error message because I forgot to reduce the size of one of the images. It doesn't let me go back and replace the image. It just... deletes it. So I lose all the alt text and post text I just spent ten minutes sticking in there. #TechFailures

literally never seen this before. having to check every folder. this is bad. i don't know if it's a Mac thing or a Dropbox thing or a special horrible combo, but it's one of the worst things a computer system can do, imo. #TechFailures
