Human-level AI: runs the testcases, sees that there are failures, but just claims that "some tests failures are normal" and proceeds anyway
Human-level AI: you can't figure out how to satisfy the invariant, so you just delete the assert

It can then iterate until the results are good. For example testcases that should succeed or fail for the software to work correctly.
Software engineering skills like these still necessary sometimes 😊

fwiw heres what i was doing; i found that GLM would emit testcases that don't run (or even fail typechecking) . i had to do a lot of manual cleanup on this output so i didn't deem it worth the hassle . i will prolly re-evaluate when we get another generation of open source code models tho

My students are starting to work on large-scale declarative binary analysis in our analytics engines; their progress has been extremely fast, partly due to us using ChatGPT to translate huge artifacts into our engines and then semi-automatically debugging with big testcases, cool stuff!
