My colourised footage of the 1936 match shows huge crowds at Dalymount Park in Dublin as Ireland secured a famous 5–2 victory over Germany. It was a dramatic reversal: Ireland had played Germany only once before, losing 3–1 in Dortmund in May 1935.

Rice's Pub on St. Stephen's Green & Dandelion Market on South King Street were demolished in 1986 to make way for the St. Stephen's Green Shopping Centre. The Slazenger family had assembled the site over 15 years, beginning in 1966.

Today, I hiked to the top of the Sliabh Liag (Slieve League) cliffs, one of Europe's highest sea cliffs, in beautiful Donegal and I bumped into these guys taking shelter on the cliff edge from the wild Atlantic Ocean winds.🌬️🐑🐑

Photo of the platform of Glasnevin railway station, which operated from 1901 to 1910. The platform was demolished in 1916, but some of the station's red-bricked outbuildings still remain behind the Bernard Shaw pub. 🚂🚃

The makeshift car park on Lower Liffey Street was replaced when Liam Carroll's Zoe Developments built 335 cramped apartments, dubbed "Shoebox Appartment" with 293 single-bedroom units arranged along narrow corridors.

My coloured 1952 aerial shot of the Ennis Road in Limerick City, just before the start of the Munster Senior Hurling Final between Cork and Tipperary. Christy Ring, one of Ireland’s greatest ever hurlers, delivered one of his finest performances, thrilling the huge crowd.

My coloured Robert French c.1900 photo shows tram number 119 travelling along Irishtown Road in the inner suburb of Dublin City. Irishtown (An Baile Gaelach) originated as a settlement in the 1400s when the English expelled the Irish from within the city walls of Dublin.

My coloured photo shows the removal of tram tracks on Dame Street, Cork Hill and Lord Edward Street in Dublin City. The Dublin United Tramways Company operated 137 trams on routes totalling over 32 miles. The last tram in Dublin City ran on July 9, 1949.
