One of my other OCs, Mother Sephrenia, performed both Ishgardian weddings (the secret elopement and then the big public one later). BUT for Gisèle/Ysayle/Haurchefant on the First, Runar performed their handfasting a la Night’s Blessed.

I realized I don’t really talk abt the specific estisteph dynamic within #TheElfpile but it’s endlessly fascinating to me bc much like gistinien it’s a pairing that on paper absolutely should not work but they are fiercely devoted to each other and their bond began when steph went w them to the aery

the first time Stephanivien kissed Gisèle it was after they won the tourney at Camp Dragonhead and he literally ran over, picked her up, spun her around, and then kissed her with tongue in front of literally everyone. he didn’t realize the last part btw

#TheElfpile clarity: Ysayle is only legally married to Gisèle, Estinien, and Haurche as of 7.0, being Aymeric’s mistress per Ishgardian law. She did not elope w them in SB nor do the big wedding. She was handfasted w Gisèle and Haurche in Slitherbough and married Estinien at the end of EW in RAH.
As a goldsmith, Gisèle made all the rings, each with a unique gem. Etched along the inside of the golden bands is a portmanteau vow blending the mottos of Houses Fortemps and Haillenarte with that Aymeric chose for Borel as the House Royal: “shields high in the name of the rose, for the sky”.
