#ElizabethVonArnim was so brave that she talked about domestic abuse, ageism, sexism or how unprotectected widows were 100 years ago. Sadly, #TheEnchantedApril, betrays its feminist premise (4 women taking a break from their unhappy lives) in order to be painfully conventional & men-centric💔

It’s telling that this quote from a 100-year-old book still resonates with dozens of contemporary readers who loved it so much that they highlighted it in a kindle library book
