Starting 2026 by being back on my cdrama grind 🔥
#theprincessweiyoung on the table

Pela primeira na história da minha vida de c-drameira misturei duas histórias, terrível!
#ThePrincessWeiYoung
#ThePrincess'sGambit

Hmmm I have only rewatched a few due to podcast reviews that I guested on

Second Level Actors should also have more than 2 representative achievements appraised by the organization of their employing unit.

Examples of Level Two Actors and their work:

#TangYan in #BlossomsInShanghai, #TheLegendOfXiaoChuan, #ThePrincessWeiyoung and #ChinesePaladin3.

🪭Next project from #TheUntamed director Chan Ka Lam and Screenwriter Cheng Ting Yu, known for #ThePrincessWeiYoung, #TheSwordandtheBrocade, #PrincessSilver, #EternalBrotherhood and #ThePromiseofChangan.

#Serendipity / #榜上佳婿 - #WangZiQi & #LuYuXiao, scheduled for April.

I can't tell you how much I enjoy these long assed historical #CDramas
#ThePrincessWeiyoung

Another fun drama to fill in between more serious watches is #AMomentButForever, a Xianxia type story about a goddess (played by Tiffany Tang of #ThePrincessWeiYoung fame) tasked with retrieving a divine artefact from a clan priest (played by Liu Xueyi). There’s magic, mystery & action
#cdrama

atp i feel like jun tao must be invincible with how often she’s returning from being presumed dead

Day 9: A Drama from Another Year you watched in 2024

I watched a fair amount of older dramas this year due to the podcast (both rewatches and dramas I had never seen before) Here are some of those new watches/rewatches:
#ThePrincessWeiyoung
#LightTheNight
#TheLongNight

10. 🎬 The Princess Weiyoung (2016) - 8,3⭐
#ThePrincessWeiyoung

🎭 Romance, Histórico, Drama
🇨🇳 C-drama
🗂 54 ep
⏰ 45 min

📎 A princesa Weiyoung busca vingança contra os responsáveis pela destruição de sua família, disfarçando-se como uma serva. E então durante sua jornada acaba se apaixonando

Have you watched #ThePrincessWeiyoung yet? It's not too deep, but more soapy than light-hearted. The FL is introduced as she crossdresses, and later you meet a princess who almost always crossdresses.

That doesn’t mean we haven’t seen miscast roles before that work out ok

Eg, Zhang Ziyi played a 14-15 year old character at the start of #TheRebelPrincess - but it did feel very odd until her character’s age got closer to her real life age

The same with Tiffany Tang in #ThePrincessWeiYoung

i feel like i need to start smoking a bowl everytime the chiyun family celebrates killing wei young prematurely only to find out they failed (again)
