I started the #TheSwordAndTheBrocade #cdrama with @tinacmml.bsky.social today! It's the longest one until now. But we already watched three 💪🏻
There are so many people, all of them with their plans 🤣 Its gonna be messy and funny.

Day 5: Supporting FL
I choose a supporting actress who seems to be in lots of historical #cdramas
He Hong Shan
She played a great frustrating character in #ThePrisonerOfBeauty; loved her in #TheDouble, #TheSwordandtheBrocade...
The list is long

#LiMeng as Lady Zhao seems more complex & her arc more interesting as thought.
And she's only in mdl as guest 🤔
In summary after ep5 I think writing, atmosphere & cinematography reminds of #TheStoryOfMinglan & #TheSwordAndTheBrocade
So if you liked these I'd give it a try

Probably will start #BlossomsInAdversity on Monday
Might do a quick re-watch of #TheSwordAndTheBrocade
It's one of my favourites, mostly because of the music

My next rewatch/new watch project with @zhangrei.bsky.social is #cdrama #TheSwordAndTheBrocade
What i love especially is the maturity of the story despite concubine intrigues, one of my most favourite OST compositions and the depth of the character development and slow pace.

I think his best work (aside from #TheSwordAndTheBrocade, of course) is in #MySunshine and #BecauseOfLove. Both very emotionally intense modern romance dramas.

Yes it feels a little bit like HouMingHao must have felt being thrown in this mess of a family. As I love story with many househoukd members like #TheSwordAndTheBrocade or #StoryOfMinglan I'm used to know nothing in the start and constantly feeling confused about who's who..
