Here I present a complete new reading of Malachi. Israel, the chosen people, is originally intersex! Their example shall lead us to #StopIntersexGenitalMutilation and to stop any genital mutilation that is externally determinated which finally leads to self-determination. #TheRightToBodilyAutonomy
Judah is male intersex mutilated, so they are called the despiser—of their female spirit; and what the text calls abominations—is female IGM upon Israel. Judah desecrates by IGM what God has made holy and joins the daughter of a foreign god. (Malachi 2:11) #StopIntersexGenitalMutilation 1/4 You cover the altar of God with tears, weeping and sighing—because of intersex genital mutilation. Yet God was witness when you were still one with your female side—the one you despised through male IGM—and she was the wife of your covenant. (Malachi 2:13–14) #StopIntersexGenitalMutilation 2/4 Did He not make them one, with a portion of spirit in their union? And what was the one seeking? Godly offspring. So guard yourselves in your [whole] spirit—which is intersex. And do not betray the wife who is within you since you were young. (Malachi 2:15) #StopIntersexGenitalMutilation 3/4 The God of Israel hates the ‘divorce’ [of a two-spirit/intersex], for it covers one’s garment with violence. So you shall guard yourselves in your [intersex] spirit & do not despise them. (Malachi 2:16) #StopIntersexGenitalMutilation 4/4
