Caught THE WEIGHT yesterday. Tough depression era action drama, the kind they used to release every other week. Thus it appears better than it is, but that doesn't make it any less entertaining. Solid throughout. #filmsky #TheWeight

🎬 Vu : "The Weight, 2026 - ★★★"
#TheWeight #LesContrebandiers

goddamn this movie is great - still waiting for someone to explain why this movie got such lousy distribution - it’s entertaining as hell, commercial, fast-paced, suspenseful, gorgeous - Russell Crowe, Ethan Hawke - dad movie catnip - no? Hawke deserves an Oscar nom push. #filmsky #movies #TheWeight
"The main character, Ethan Hawke‘s Samuel Murphy, might be Steinbeck’s plainspoken Tom Joad reimagined as an action hero...Hawke understands that in movie acting, sometimes the best approach is to let your face do the talking." Review of The Weight. Excellent film. www.rogerebert.com/reviews/the-...

The kind of movie designed to make Dads or those with Dad-inclinations alternate between gruff monosyllabic nods of approval and "they don't make 'em like that anymore"s. (It's me, I have Dad-inclinations. This rocked.) #TheWeight #FilmSky
