These women were weeding the tomato plants in Patterson CA. The high reached 90 this day. The women paused for a quick break and share despite the long hours in the sun they keep pushing each other throughout the day to get the job done. #WeFeedYou

Farm workers in Western NY are harvesting apples in rainy & slippery conditions. The silver strips on the ground are runners used for reflecting sun to the apples. But on rainy days, workers have to be careful as the ladders they climb are known to slip on the surface. #WeFeedYou

Soraya & her husband work in cilantro fields near Salinas CA. They earn $2 per box (60 bunches). The 2 of them harvest around 120 boxes/day. It's foggy which makes the ground damp. They must move quickly to earn as much as possible, but need to be careful not to slip. #WeFeedYou

It's citrus harvesting season in CAs San Joaquin Valley right now. Farm workers are laboring long hours harvesting oranges and lemons. Rosa is one of these workers in the Fresno area. She tells us she earns $47 for each 1,000 lb box she harvests. #WeFeedYou

"Edgar" is harvesting honeycrisp apples in WA State. "We earn $32 a 900 lb crate. Many days we don't pick more than 3 crates as many apples don't pass the required quality control. This type of apple is very delicate. We must be careful not to bruise the fruit." #WeFeedYou

“Jose” is harvesting pears in VA. Minimum wage is just over $12 but these workers get paid for each container they can fill. “Jose” climbs up and down a ladder carrying 40 pounds of fruit at a time. #WeFeedYou

Marcela, a mother of 3, shared this video from the tangerine harvest in Sanger CA. She earns $55 for each 1,000 lb crate she harvests. She fills 2 crates in her 7 hr work day. She worries about meeting expenses, including gas she uses in her 80-mile round-trip drive. #WeFeedYou
