Monumental free standing beech carefully cared for in a park in Aachen Sprouting beech seeds and baby seedlings on the forest floor Old forgotten beech hedge. The roots have come up out of the soil a bit, and the trunks are a tangle of siblings grown together to form one body covered in moss and lichen. Through the gaps a meadow on a hill edged by more forest.
