Happy early bird subscriber of Thundermail (beta) here.

Free, open code + a paid service on top is a healthy open source model.

It's also what tech sovereignty needs: alternatives we can inspect, run and fund.

Would you pay for it?

I’ve gotten myself into the Thundermail early bird access since Proton’s CEO pissed me off

I just switched to Thundermail but it's invite only beta right now. Heard good things about Fastmail.

Ah - one other that's coming soon and folks are looking forward to it is Thundermail www.tb.pro/en-US/ - from Mozilla

I use Thundermail and it is great. There are lots of growing pains right now -- but I expected that when I signed.

I cancelled my Proton Unlimited subscription today & have 10 months to figure out where I migrate to next. Looking at mailbox.org
posteo.de

tuta.co
or maybe the new Thundermail tb.pro

It's so frustrating.

Ok, you‘re correct, my issue.
But in thundermail it is total easy using PGP encryption generell

I’ve run a test account there & kinda like Proton it doesn’t quite fit my needs. It IS however a decent general solution (though I haven’t tested calendar invites yet) & might be good for small biz that’s tech savvy.

I’m going to run Fastmail tests soon & I’ve signed up for beta Thundermail access.

Thundermail by Mozilla ?

Your emails usually live inside the email providers (gmail, thundermail, university etc.) servers. And you access them when you relog to your Thunderbird (or other email client) which then fetches them from those servers.

I think OnlyOffice is supposed to be decent? There are also some products that are standalone competitors for Email (Thundermail, Fastmail) or Drive (Dropbox, Box, etc.)

I've just signed up for Thundermail to try to get off of Google. I was going to suggest everyone go to Proton, but.... they have CEO AI issues.

Si tu peux/veux générer tes propres clés PGP (oui c'est chiant, je sais), il y a Thundermail ^^
