I never realised there was a #thursdaybridges. This is the Royal Border Bridge across the River Tweed at Berwick-upon-Tweed. (The border is actually 3 miles further north.) Built in 1847-1850 by Robert Stephenson, son of the railway pioneer George Stephenson.

Devorgilla's Bridge in Dumfries, named after the last of the ruling family of Galloway, who married John de Balliol and was the mother of King John Balliol. Built in wood in 1270, it was rebuilt in stone in 1432 and extensively repaired after floods in 1621. #thursdaybridges
