My current car is my first automatic, but it has manual mode, complete with tiptronic flappers (which I never use, because small hands, and it’s more fun pretending using the gear stick to go up and down through the gears).

I'm midway through making barrel pants. Specifically, I'm knocking off some Uniqlo pants because they're not available here or size inclusive. AND: polyester. So instead I'll have lovely cotton twill pants that fit my butt thanks. They're #sewliberatedarthur and they're LARGE #garmentsewing

They are. I had to change to an automatic 5 years ago due to problems with my left knee. My current car has a good automatic gearbox, plus tiptronic if want to select gears manually. I’d hate to go back now. Especially for city driving or heavy traffic.

Driving impressions:
1. More cowl shake than I was expecting
2. Tiptronic just kills it. Neuters engine, weird shift programming, button use feels unnatural, etc
3. Pleasingly hefty steering
4. Felt the MR balance in transitions

The chain-driven engine is right-sized for its size & weight, has tiptronic gears and sports mode.
If I’m doing <100 it’s either because the speed limit is lower, it’s not safe to be going faster in the conditions, or there is someone in front of me going slower.
