A torc! Every Celt needs a torc, unless they're a druid.
These have locking mechanism & are totally flexible, loop-in-loop like, chain so wouldn't have been an issue.
More typical torcs have the gap which could open slightly to slide on (necks are not as big as you think).
Others have pieces that lock in.

I have a similar problem with the guardian's word wheel. Yesterday it disallowed torc and wroth and yet it had "rath" as one of the answers. Is it the "mome raths" from Jabberwocky?
