I prefer TouchID (which the Mini also uses) but the folding screen worries me and I don't need a new phone *and* I wear a jacket with iPad sized pockets.
So: iPad mini to go with my older phone now, and an iPhone Duo in a couple of years/product generations when it's proven.

Hot take: I actually prefer TouchID to FaceID on the #iphoneduo. FaceID always had me making funny faces to get in.

4 is incredible. I've been using a setup like it for years now, and I'm starting to convert my team too. I also have my laptop open in front of me for TouchID.

"Small enough to fit in my pocket" and "with TouchID" sold me on the Duo, with the price not being such a big drawback since I kept my 12 mini for five years.
But mileage varies on these things. FaceID works well for some folks (not me) and I guess some people just carry their phone in their hand?

所用で出かけたついでにコンビニで買い物する前にモバイルSuicaの残高を確認しようとしたら…TouchID認証にしているのにメールアドレスとパスワードの入力を要求されるし（次回からはTouchIDが有効と表示）、何やら規約が更新されたとかで長々とした文章を最後まで読まないと（延々とスクロールしないと）同意ボタンを押せないのが二件。
コンビニ前で随分手間取ってしまった。
（支払い時に残高不足が発覚しなくて良かった。）
JREどころか公共交通機関自体を殆ど利用しない生活のため手動チャージのみ。

Got to test drive the iPhone Duo and compared to competing Android foldables, this thing is half-baked.
The camera setup is trash, non-Apple apps are trash, TouchID is trash and the form factor is unergonomic AF. And it ESPECIALLY sucks if you're left-handed.
I do LOVE the matte inner-display tho.

販売開始時にアプリが端末が対応していないのは当然。今までとは環境が変わるのは自然なこと。iPhone5S → iPhone6 になった時に画面が大きくなった。TouchIDからFaceIDに変わった。この時にも戸惑いはあったはず。
使い勝手がしっくりこと、デメリットを強調することを「動画にしてまで言うことなんだろうか」って思ってYoutube動画を見た人は多かったんじゃないだろか？
