Leave your phone at home. Or just get a TracFone that you’re going to use for travel and only have one phone number in that phone who to contact in case of an emergency. Don’t connect email addresses or phone contacts to it don’t connect social media to it.

Get a used, fairly recent, 2G compatible burner phone,that doesn't have the tracking technology that the new phones have, buy a tracfone sim for $5. Mine is a 7 year old Tracfone refurbished burner phone that I paid $4.99 delivered and costs me $7 a month for service. Get minimalist. Bling is out.

I could never afford an iPhone. I use a Tracfone. Cheapest and can't see why I would need more. I mostly use my old HP laptop. They want to bring us back to when women on welfare weren't allowed to have toasters or irons.

This means so much. I taught an elderly woman on vacation how to use her tracfone when I was managing a RadioShack and she mailed me a thank you postcard. I opened it at the tail end of an 80 hour week, it almost made me cry. I had it framed

Tracfone has its problems but if you only need voice and text. it will cost you about $7 a month and if you need the full features of your smartphone it will be $10. Tracfone is now owned by Verizon. You can buy a sim to use their service for about $5.
