Instead of a VR headset I use something called TrackIR which clips onto my headphones and puts my head position to the game, but exaggerating it so I can look around while physically looking mostly forward

I still have a dual boot just in case but doesn't use it much, but trackir could be the one use case where I would have to play on windows.

TrackIR used to move camera around in title and rearming menu but now only operates during gameplay. and to indicate the TrackIr connection during title screen, there's a connection indicator at top left corner

ML stuff is a hack of statistics which means there's gonna be a degree of unpredictable fuzziness to what you get back, while this is acceptable for plenty of uses (I use ML based webcam face tracking instead of an expensive trackir setup for my sims) it is a pain for anything demanding accuracy

I just pulled off one of the most difficult troubleshooting I've ever done in Linux. I've been struggling for hours to get TrackIR to work in Linux using both linuxtrackx-ir and linuxtrack-qt6-Wayland, but I got stuck on the firmware install part.
