It is so bewildering that a transpanic over **sports** was the tip of the spear that ended in a bill to literally eliminate the word "gender" from the Iowa Civil Rights Code. If I hear one more person use sports as a justification for actual legal discrimination I'm going to lose my goddamn mind.

I saw a clip of Neal DeGrasse Tyson with fast talky Ben Shapiro where the latter tried to bait Tyson into catastrophizing about "transpanic". Tyson essentially said "either you believe in personal freedoms and liberties in a free society or you don't."
This exactly. The *only* question around trans rights is "are people free to be who they know themselves to be, or are people obligated by those in power to behave as they're told to?"
