Once upon a time in 1993 I was a teen, and I wrote a Pascal compiler for transputer. I was learning so many things. I've wrote an article about it, and released the code, along a newly coded transputer emulator 😉 #retro #transputer nanochess.org/pascal.html

Do you remember my DJGPP port of my transputer C compiler? I thought all the work was done, and maybe I could compile it in a Macbook Air. I was very wrong. Enjoy my trip porting it to 64-bit!!! #retro #transputer nanochess.org/transputer_c...

stuck in some purgatory where I’ve got a logic probe hooked up to my transputer while watching WCW because it’s 1985 in my apartment

Today I learned that the sprites for the X68000 version of Ys (1991) were made in pre-rendered 3D using an X68000, a transputer and software to reduce the number of colors.

I had panic meltdown today so i simply fixed this Tektronix logic analyzer and then used it to diagnose and repair my MCA transputer card instead of doing actual work

Maybe it is just nostalgia, but I've written the required DOS software to run my basic transputer operating system from a real 1.44mb floppy. Edit, compile, and assemble completely inside my OS. The code is in my git. #retro #transputer

This is so nice…

It reminded me of a poster from the ‘80s that I should have kept ☹️

It was advertising an event to do with the the #INMOS #Transputer (www.rs-online.com/designspark/...) and featured a beautiful knitted version of a Transputer in situ. I do so wish that I had kept a copy!

I used the 256-color palette of the VGA card to simulate 3-3-2 bits color. A very nice improvement over my previous gray-scale display. #retro #transputer

I just have completed the port of my transputer assembler to MS-DOS, using Turbo C++ 3 (I intended to use the Mark DeSmet c88 compiler but it has too many bugs). As result the full toolchain for compiling Pascal programs for #transputer now works in DOS. github.com/nanochess/tr...
