På vitsippsblad kan man ibland finna en svamp som dels deformerar bladen och som bildar mörka prickar på undersidan av bladen. Ganska vanlig men naturligtvis väldigt förbisedd. Svampen heter sipprost Tranzschelia anemones

Today I found four different species on Wood Anemone:
Plasmoverna pygmaea,
Septoria sp. (I think),
Urocystis anemones, and
Tranzschelia anemones!
The last one is very pretty, lovely deep velvet brown. #FungiFriends
underside of a deeply lobed leaf with white down brown leaf spot with tiny dark dots in the middle on the upperside of a dark green toothed leaf dark brown wrinkly blister on the underside of a leaf underside of a deeply toothed trifoliate leaf, with small circular deep brown pustules arranged along the veins

26 april: Om kollar vitsippsbestånden kan man se att vissa blad är högre och delvis deformerade. De är då angripna av rostsvampar. Detta är sipprost Tranzschelia anemones. Finns några arter till som är vanliga

At the weekend I noticed a rust fungus on a plum tree, which I've just determined as Tranzschelia discolor. The spores are interesting to look at - the teliospores were two celled, the larger cell dark brown & very verrucose but attached to a paler, less spiky, one. Uredinospores were also present.

.@RPilze, indeed I just observed teliospores in fascicule (see the two pictures below). This is a determining criterion for Tranzschelia discolor (Lopez-Franco & Hennen, 1990; doi:10.2307/2419155), with the difference in shape and color of the two cells.
