Over 4 million Floridians used the Tri-Rail in 2024. With budget cuts made by DeSantis and the legislature, Tri-Rail will end by 2026. The government should be making your life easier and more affordable, not clawing back funding for everyday needs.

Considering the 1897-99 Nicoli-Grismayer Commission as the starting point for the Italian mainline rail electrification history, 60 years later in 1959 there were almost 6,000 route-km electrified (more if ypu include the tri-phase ones).

This is British Rail : tri-langauge brochure : British Railways Board : London : [1979] : front cover : A rather fine tri-langauge brochure describing the work and sectors of British Rail in German, English and French. The pages of photographs are interposed with semi-translucent pages carrying the descriptive text. The title page reads : Das ist British Rail : This is British Rail : British Rail, la Compagnie des Chemins de Fer Britanniques. Not dates this carries a print code of May 1979 and so gives oride of place to the experimental APT and the fleet of diesel HST 125 trains in service as well as technology and reseach, the passenger business, rail freight and shipping services, including hovercrafts. The front cover is dominated by this view of one of the experimental tilting Advanced Passenger Trains developed for the West Coast Main LIne services but that were later abandoned. This appears to be one of the Class 370 units carrying carriage number Sc 48103. The unit is also shown without what I think was the later application of black around the cab windscreen.
